we all love to think that united way and other homeless shelters will help us, I have been to all of them and they have shut down their food panties due to lack of funds, times are hard, if we could go that route then whom of us would resort to begging on the web, we do have our pride but what is pride when our cildren are hungy and cold?

Contact your local welfare office for emergency assistance right away. Call the united Way at 211. In addition, contact your community action programs in your area.

The Salvation Army gives away food, clothing, and diapers for the children.

What State do you live in? I ask because abandonment of children in most States require the parent to be out of the childrens' lives for six months or more without any contact or support given to the children.
